Quick Q & A

What is your best strength?

My greatest strength is my unparalleled resilience. It's not just about bouncing back; it's about thriving in the face of relentless adversity. From overcoming neurodiversity and the challenges of Combat PTSD to conquering cancer and achieving national powerlifting championships, I've forged an unbreakable spirit. This, combined with my strategic brilliance and leadership honed in high-stakes global projects and military operations, makes me an unstoppable force ready to tackle any challenge life throws my way.

What is your greatest weakness?

My drive and focus, while significant assets, can sometimes manifest as impatience, and I might occasionally miss subtle nuances in fast-paced, high-pressure situations. However, I'm deeply committed to self-awareness and actively cultivate mindfulness and seek diverse perspectives to counteract this. I view weaknesses not as liabilities, but as opportunities for growth and refinement, much like any skill I've honed.

How would people describe you?

Those who know me would describe me as a unique blend of warrior and empath. I possess the discipline and strategic mind of a Royal Marines Commando, capable of thriving in extreme, high-pressure environments. Yet, I'm also deeply compassionate, driven by a strong moral compass, and possess an innate ability to connect with and lead others. My life is a testament to resilience, and I inspire others through unwavering determination and courage.

How would you describe yourself?

I see myself as a force of nature, shaped by adversity into an indomitable spirit. I am a strategist, an adventurer, and a leader, driven by a thirst for knowledge and a passion for pushing the boundaries of human potential. I am a family man, a champion, and a survivor, and I bring that multifaceted self into everything I do.

How do you cope with change?

Change is not an obstacle; it's the very essence of my life. My experiences, from adapting to diverse cultures and high-pressure military operations to navigating complex government Programmes and personal health challenges, have hardwired me for adaptability. I thrive in dynamic environments, leveraging strategic thinking, quick decision-making, and a resourceful mindset to not just cope with change but to harness it for success.

How do you cope with challenge?

Challenges are the crucible where my resilience is forged. Whether it's recovering a failing multi-billion-dollar project, facing down cancer, or enduring the rigours of military service, I meet challenges head-on with unwavering determination and a strategic mindset. I break down complexities, identify root causes, and implement innovative solutions, always emerging stronger and more capable.

What makes you tick?

The exploration of the human spirit's capacity to endure and rebuild. My life has mirrored this theme – overcoming adversity, pushing limits, and finding strength in vulnerability. I don't shy away from testing my own mettle during challenging scenarios, and I hope that one day, I might inspire those who get to know me with a message of hope, resilience, and the enduring power of the human will.

Literally? Most definitely my passion for mechanical watches. I dream of one day qualifying as a watchmaker, setting myself up with an attelier of my own, and fabricating EVERY single part of a mechanical watch by hand. I would limit myself to a maximum of 11 watches built per year, giving me at least 1 entire month of Monday to Sundays, lost in a world of intricate detail in design, function, and the aesthetics of each timepiece - whether a simple movement or one filled to the brim with complications. I accept that at first, I'd simply focus on perhaps a day/date complication, and once my artisinal brand is established, I would love to spend an entire year building 1 masterpiece, using the best of global traditional forging, polishing, and function assurance methods. Most of all, and as a gesture of my indelible integrity and accountability, I want every timepiece to be personally handed to the collector with a lifetime warranty. I could go on for days and explain every detail of my written plan, but I'll save that for another time. Suffice to say, I have framed the first draft dream statement and it hangs in my office as a daily reminder of a dream I must achieve - come what may.
